GA Milestones Assessment

All students in Grades 3-8 will take the Georgia Milestones: End of Grade (EOG) assessment in the content areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics. In addition, students in grade 5 will take Science. EOG testing begins this Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Below is the schedule for the administration of the EOG in the DeKalb County School District. It is imperative that students attend school each day and arrive on time so they will not miss any sections of this important assessment.

Parents/Guardians, you can help by taking the following steps:

Limit evening activities prior to testing so that adequate time is provided for rest.
Discuss the importance of testing with your son/daughter.
Provide two #2 pencils daily.
Provide a nutritious breakfast. (Breakfast is provided at school from 7:00 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. daily)
Ensure your child is present and on time each morning. If possible, please avoid scheduling doctor/dentist appointments during the testing period.
If an issue arises that may impact your child's performance, please contact an administrator.

School Times Information

School Hours

Our school hours are 7:45 am - 2:15 pm.

Parents, please note that our school hours are from 7:45 am - 2:15 pm. Core Instruction begins at 7:45 am. Our Intervention Block is from 8:30 - 9:00. Please ensure that your child arrives to school on time.

Breakfast/Lunch – Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 am - 7:40 am. Students have the option to bring lunch from home or eat the school lunch. Breakfast and lunch are free for all students, and outside lunch, such as fast food is not permitted.

Carpool – Students may enter the building starting at 7:00 am.

Tardies – Please ensure students arrive by 7:45 a.m. daily. Students are able to enter the building at 7:00 a.m. Please be mindful of this expectation, and as a reminder, tardies begin at 7:45a.m.

Morning Drop Off – The building will open at 7:00 am and students are marked tardy at 7:45 am. Parents are welcome to walk their children to their classroom, however, parents will not be allowed down the instructional hallway after 7:45am. Please remember to park in the main parking lot and not the bus lane.

Progress Reports - Progress reports can be found inside your "Parent Portal" account. A hard copy can be sent home upon parent request.

How to Sign in to Clever

With Clever, everyone has a personalized portal with a single login for all of their online programs and resources. This portal provides access to all the apps available in the District. Students also have access to their Teacher's Page located in Clever.

Uniforms

Uniforms – Please see Uniforms Expectations via Uniform Policy or located in the Student Handbook on the website. A full school uniform is required by the first day of school.
